Ate a la carte and all dishes were delicious. I would give them five stars for the food if they heated the plates (and bought a salamander for the pick-up counter). Two of our dishes were lukewarm at best. The neighbouring table had the same issue, so this may be systemic. And the toilets are atrocious.
Definitely one of the best restaurants in Honolulu. Amazing food and so much is locally sourced.
Town is a fantastic neighborhood restaurant trying to punch above its weight as a Honolulu ‘destination’ establishment. By that measure, they’ve got a ways to go ... But first, the food - fresh, local and well-presented - everything was good but not “I can’t wait to have that again” spectacular or unique. Decor-wise, it is a relatively small and busy space that can get loud. So don’t expect intimate conversation or to find a romantic nook. Finally, on the night we dined the service was friendly but oddly timed and noticeably slow at times to the point our server thanked us for our patience. My guess is that a new kitchen staff was being trained. Regardless, I’d expected better given the restaurant’s street cred and price point. Bottom line: a good but not exceptional meal priced in a competitive market that offers plenty of alternatives worthy of consideration.
My husband and I had a good meal here. Very nice friendly service. Food was tasty and fresh. A relaxed atmosphere with a skateboarding/surfer vibe. A little pricey but it's nice to know you are eating farm to table.
Pasta was delicious.
I liked that they reused old menus for coasters.
Great food every time. Always something interesting and delicious. Beer selection is small but of high quality. Everything is locally sourced with a fresh menu each night. For me, it's a must-visit every time I come to Honolulu.
