Crab legs are good not a huge fan of the sausage (over cooked) and potatoes (weird taste). The sweet potato fries are AMAZING! My sister absolutely loves it here so needless to say, I will definitely be back????
This was my first time here. The decor is comfortable. There was no wait and we were greeted by friendly smiling staff.
Clean, big open space. The building is two stories with indoor/outdoor seating on both levels (super cool).
We went for my daughters birthday was a little bummed that they don't do anything for birthdays.
We were served a bowl of rice which I thought was kind of a cool Hawaii thing (the mainland locations I have been to don't serve rice). We ordered the snow crab combo, order of shrimp and an order king crab.
Our food came in bags the littles thought it was so much fun eating from bags.
However, it would have been nice to have had a bucket or something for shells/waste.
We are a military family and noticed after reading the reviews they offer a military discount but we were told that our meal didn't qualify for the discount because we ordered a combo.
Overall, food was awesome and staff was friendly. We'll be back!
The Boiling Crab is one of several Cajun Seafood restaurants on Oahu that was all the rage a couple of years ago. A variety of seafood cooked in spicy Cajun sauces served by the pound, your meal is served in large bags which you then dump on the paper-lined table.
With plastic bibs around your necks, you dive into your Cajun care with your bare hands. Crawfish, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausages, corn and potatoes all cooked in a flavorful savory thick red sauce.
The staff here is always friendly and the vibe is more family-oriented than the other hipster spots at Salt. Parking is ample and free for the first hour, and a dollar for the next hour with validation.
All in all a nice place to fix your Cajun craving at a reasonable cost.
The food was great and the service was outstanding. There was a mix up with our order but the staff of the boiling crab corrected it and ensured the rest of our dining experience was wonderful. Pleasant atmosphere and with the televisions all around there was ample entertainment to keep us occupied till our food arrived. Great dining establishment.
