I ordered the garlic shrimp plate and my wife had the pulled pork sandwich. The shrimp plate was good with a side salad. Salad was very fresh and crispy with tomatoes, onion, edamame, and ranch dressing. The shrimp were tasty with a garlic aoli and flame grilled perfectly. The bed of rice the laid on was old rice because some parts were hard and not fresh. That was disappointing. The pulled pork sandwich was basic. The pork was mediocre and the bun was very soggy. The garlic fries we ordered with it were what you would expect but nothing to rave about. Each meal does come with a few slices of pineapple which was nice.
Waikiki Beachside Bistro offers typical beachside fare in a beautiful tropical setting, but because it's so close to the beach and convenient, the prices are very high. The food is pretty good but we felt there were better options nearby.
Great food and generous portions. Everyone ordered something different so we tried a lot of things! Each dish we tried was great. Plus you can’t beat the view.
Food was good but service was so unlike Hawaii. I felt like the gentleman who took my order did not want to see me there. During our exchange. He only used words such as: there, here, ok, yes. Fountain drink is overpriced (almost 5 bucks for a medium drink). The location is phenomenal: you are at the beach... Waikiki Beach!
