El Tenampa Mexican Grill & Cantina

Reminds me of the restaurants that I went to with my family growing up. The service there is top notch. Very friendly and helpful. Delicious food. I have enjoyed every dish I've had there in the past.

Once you’ve lived in Phoenix Arizona let me tell you it is HARD to find a good Mexican restaurant ever again if you move.

But this place.. this place nails it. I absolutely loved the decor and the small details. Whom ever the gentleman is that greats you as you enter and says goodbye as you leave is just everything I missed about traditional Mexican eating.

Food was great. The beans were home style and rice was perfectly flavored. Plenty of choices. Can’t wait to try them again.

We went to dinner at El Tenampa Mexican Grill. The food was excellent. Our server Jesus made our guacamole at the table, and it was fabulous. Plus, Jesus was an awesome waiter. We had so much food that we had to bring a lot home. The restaurant is decorated really cute and it's also clean. We will absolutely come back again.

$$$ My wife and I thought we would give this place a try and wow am glad we did......awesome food , service and atmosphere...... just a little bit of Mexico 🇲🇽 everything was just awesome 👌 the fresh guacamole dip made at the table and a couple beers it was all fabulous I had the pork carnites and my wife had the two item taco and escalates. - sorry about the spelling...but everything was fantastic this will be one of our favorite places..........and it wasn't too expensive....please please try this place...........

Celebrated Cinco de Mayo here so packed as expected but wait was manageable. Staff and service was very friendly and food came exceptional quickly for as full as they were. Excellent menu selection of normal favorites with many of house specials available. I had the ceviche which was ok. After I added some salsa I enjoyed it. Maybe it just wasn't what I was used to, it is a dish with a lot of regional variations. My wife had the birria tacos that looked very good. Live music added to the already good ambiance. All in all pretty good food and great service. I'll come back.
