Great staff, good beer, and alright food. We had their lamb burger, chicken tenders, fried mushroom, cheese curds, and Swiss cheese and mushroom burger. We weren't asked how we liked the burgers to be cooked, and they came out medium-well. These dishes were all unremarkable, with the exception of the chicken tenders which were bland and chewy. However, the waiter was very nice, as was the beer.

Hank's Table is downtown comfort food done right! The food, cocktails, and service were all superlative, and little details made all the difference. We almost didn't sit outside because the sun was setting, but the sun screens outside meant neither of us had to stare into the sun. Our server, Charlotte, took great care of us, not just answering a few questions but offering suggestions based on what we were asking that really enhanced our meal. Her easy going nature and pleasant laugh were delightful.

The cocktails were sublime. We had a South Side (essentially a mojito but with gin) and a Last Word, both of which were perfectly proportioned. The South Side was refreshing, crisp, and well-balanced, and the Last Word was sultry and seductive with the blend of flavors, not too heavy on the lime (which makes many Last Words fall short of perfection).

Our food was delicious and incredibly satisfying. We had chicken tacos (the taco of the day), which Charlotte helped us modify to be essentially a new dish and the lamb burger with fries. I always ask for my fries extra crispy (and rarely get them that way), but Charlotte made sure they're chef followed through, and the fries were absolute perfection.

Hank's Table is an instant favorite!

GET THE CHEESY MAC - it was seriously the best mac and cheese I've ever had. The rest of the food was great as well. The service was even fantastic. He got down to our level when taking our order, accommodated special requests and, when the kitchen had a mix-up (we asked for onion rings instead of fries on my plate but they did the same for my wife's plate too), he recognized the issue and took care of it before we even asked.
We were very pleased and will definitely be back.
