Bella Mia Fine Dining

Had a great dinner with friends. They had live music “Ebony and Ivory” that was awesome.

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant here in the south side. Went to dinner early afternoon (about 30 minutes after opening) last Saturday. We sat at the bar that had two others at the time. The bartender was wandering around preparing his clothing while some kind of bag of chips were open and laying on the bar. We waited almost 15 minutes before we were even asked if we wanted a drink then it took another 10 to be served them. Then another 10 waiting “to ask” for a menu and then another 10 “to ask” if we could order. The bartender was very concerned about verbalizing how “great his skills” were then actually doing his job. Then, the bartender had to ask help from a server to input the order into the POS system as he literally had no clue which might explain the not great service. But the worst was yet to come when the kitchen REFUSED to make a “bone in” chicken vesuvio citing they did not have any bone in chicken. This restaurant is located 10 steps from a grocery store. Walk over and get one unless the reasoning for not cooking one was more of staff inconvenience versus being out of product. While the food was very good and the female bartender (came on staff) was better I do not foresee returning to this establishment to spend high dollar for this type of “service”. I am writing this review with effort for management/owner(s) to know the happenings and hope they fix what can easily be remedied.

Very attentive wait staff. Randy the owner is amazing. A little expensive but the ambiance is what make this place special.

Great place for date night. It's expensive, but great food. Loved the bread, soup, and stuffed shells. My husband loved his italian steak. Didn't care for the bruschetta... no cheese on it and a ton of onion. Our waitress, Patti, was great!

Excellent place. Staff superb & food is out of sight!!! I have the Italian pork chops - great recommendation by waitress. My wife had filet - a great steak. Very reasonably priced!!
