My photos do not do this place justice. We ordered four dishes and dessert, each one was beautifully crafted and delicious. If I had any overall comments on the menu it's that it focuses on balance. The sweetness of the pork belly was offset by the savory blast if pine nuts and an arugula salad. The mellow, lightly caramelized venison with the roasted cauliflower. Every dish was truly a work of art.

Service was phenomenal, with Qui (apologies if that is not the correct spelling) giving great recommendations and the other wait and kitchen staff always being available. Everyone there seemed to take great pride in their work.

My only complaint were the portions. For the price, I would say the size of the dishes was underwhelming. We were told that the dishes are meant to be shared and that 4 to 5 would be good for two, but I had a hard time seeing how they were not considered single portions. We honestly should have ordered 5 or 6 dishes to begin with.

We spent about $160, which for the quality of food and service is well worth, but at that price point there are many other places we could have gone and enjoyed. The experience at Fat Rice was unique and extremely worthwhile, but I cant say we were stuffed when we left. Perhaps we are not thie target demographic.

Still would highly recommend a try for a nice night out.

Historically, this place has been AMAZING. Have only ever been for brunch but the food and cocktails were always on point. This time, however, the cocktails were still great but the food just wasn't. The noodle dish was flavorless, the apps just fine, and the fat rice was full of reheated meat. I understand it's not feasible to cook all the meat in that dish fresh to order but every meat tasted reheated. Like microwave reheated. Meat was dry and gross, quite frankly. Service was excellent, as always. They get 4 stars because I know how good they can be. Plus the bakery items are solid. And cocktails delicious still.

First time dining here and was not disappointed. Flavors were really good with each dish. Make reservations early if you plan on going because they fill up fast. The bakery next door was just as good.

This place had been on my list for a long time and finally made it. I gotta be honest that I was disappointed! Not sure if I had too much expectations or if it was just not my day. The bites and appetizers were very good, the main sharable, chicken wasn't that good. The gravy tasted good but the flavor did not sink into chicken. The staff were all so good and accommodating.
