When it comes to Cecina meat this is the place. From their fried quesadillas to skirt steak everything is good and served fresh!! Salsa on point staff friendly to. All and all I would definitely recommend this place!!
Great food, very welcoming, great coffee, small place , but who cares as long as the food is enjoyable. Staff took care of us with no problem. Thanks guys. Will be coming here more often. Also prices are not to bad , compared to other big places I've been to.
So it’s not a Michelin Star restaurant but I take a 45 minute drive for this place. Menu is overwhelming but typical of any of hundreds of Mexican Taquerias and restaurants in Chicago. So this is how to do it.
Just start off with the Cecina taco, I have it without beans just so I can eat 2. You have to ask them to make it fresh, if you have a temperature preference for your beef ask otherwise you may be disappointed. Taco joints tend to over cook their meat. Enjoy!! Do this a couple of times. As you go on with your life and realize you’re in love, go back and venture off to other things on the menu.
You’re welcome!!!
The tortillas are the best I ever had. The tortillas are hand made on the spot and they are fresh from the griddle. Nice & warm. Truly the best tortillas I ever had outside of Mexico. The steak taco meat is tasty and seasoned perfectly. No fatty pieces in this meat. I truly enjoyed the meal. My parents had the seafood platter. It was a bit spicy for their liking so if your not a fan of spicy food make sure you ask them to make it non spicy. This is by far better than your average taco joint.
