Eight Bar and Patio

Great drink. Steak and frites on the late night menu. Would Definetly go back. Even enjoyed the Playlist they had going.

Up scale bar with lovely outdoor/patio setting in the Gold Coast Area.

A lovely place to hang out with good vibe especially if the weather is fine. Great service and the causal (yet professional) mood is a nice alternative to the other establishments in the area.

Menu is well rooted and curated. Good drink list. Food is of generous portion. The fried chicken is juicy and well flavoured. Steak is done well and frites is crispy. We like our king crab salad too. The oyster was a little disappointing though.

Overall a very pleasant experience.

8 Bar is a sidewalk patio right outside of its accompanying popular Chicago restaurant, Maple & Ash. Unlike the formal steak restaurant inside, 8 Bar is a lot more casual, but the atmosphere is darling. With string lights and greenery surrounding you, it's a gem in the affluent Gold Coast neighborhood. The menu is small, but it is packed with variety! The dishes are elevated, yet rooted in the familiar.
