Very cool brewery with a decent selection of beers, amazing burgers, and an atmosphere that will leave the most tired individual ready to drink and party. No board games or anything like larger breweries, but worth a stop.
It is good place to party with friends. Good variety of food and drinks. Lovely atmosphere
Fun vibe, trendy people. Friendly if slightly inattentive service. I got a chicken sandwich which wasn't bad, but my fries were cold about a minute after they hit the table. Full disclosure, I'm not a beer drinker; someone who enjoys the suds may have a more positive experience than I. They DO have eighty different whiskeys! ;-)
Never disappoints. They always have a great selection of interesting beers. A little too IPA heavy for my taste, but I always find something I love nevertheless. Also, the burger and the whole rotating menu are always spot on. Probably my favorite casual place in Chicago!
DryHop is without question a solid choice in Chicago. I’d go as far as to say it was my number one place to go to. Then this week they ‘refreshed’ it to mark 5 years of doing things right by, well... doing them wrong.
The beer choices remain great and first and foremost this is a brewery but the menu changes are all a backwards step.
They’ve introduced a second burger and we didn’t need another burger choice when the first one was one of the best in the city.
The Mac n cheese has gone from iconic to, well...The same as every other place serving mac n cheese.
The one positive change is they’ve finally got rid of the boards they served the burgers on and given you a plate!
The refurb isn’t that noticeable apart from the larger bar stools that make it too tight to actually sit at the bar.
The menu for food lacks inspiration and the staff even appears to know it’s changes aren’t going to be that popular. The word seemed to be that others had fed back to the negative.
We love the place so will continue to visit and enjoy the beer but the food changes... Fun experiment dry hop but if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
