There aren't many soul food restaurants in the city so I was happy to find one within walking distance to my home. The atmosphere is casual. While liked the soulful music, it was playing loudly and it was a bit distracting.

We had the lobster and smothered pork chops and both were excellent. The charred broccolini and mac and cheese were very good. The greens were overcooked but we'll seasoned.

I would go back and try some of the other items on the menu. The cocktails were also tasty.

🧐Um....The staff was very nice. The jerk tacos were decent, and the pot roast empandas were decent. The chicken pasta was very good. The fried chicken wings were too salty & the dressing had too much sage and salty as well. The yams were tasty but stringy. Overall, I was disappointed but happy to meet up with friends I hadn't seen in over 15 years.

Valet parking $16, $17 if you pay with credit card. My friends and I had a great time eating great food and having fun. The glass they bought me was visibly dirty. The people service was good. It could have been cleaner. The lobster Mac & Cheese was good and there was plenty of large lobster in it. The brunch chicken & waffles were terrific. Sweet corn bread was so small, dry and overpriced $5. Kool Aid was not good!

The food is delicious but the staff is even better! The young lady seating us (didn't get names) was amazing getting people in and out but not in a pushy, rude way. We felt like we were able to enjoy our meal and move on for the next group to be seated. We had salmon, smothered pork chops, greens, sweet potatoes (candied yams), green tomatoes and deviled eggs. It was ALL delicious! The deviled eggs were too sweet to me (not my preference) but my husband loved them. On to the drinks...let's just say the bartender understood the assignment and she was so nice too (blonde hair, half up half down). I had an anejo sidecar and my husband had an old fashioned...no complaints at all. We will for sure be back!
