Tastefully remodeled. Great selections of soup base, meat and vegetables. I like their fatty beef, tofu skins shrimps. Service is up to par even in busy hours. Shout out to Linda who goes beyond the call of duty. She taught us how to cook beef that was so tender it melted in our mouths.

Excellent services delivered by everyone at the restaurant, especially Linda.
I've been to this place several times in the past, and Linda was probably the only one who knew how to provide the best dining experience for her guests. She always does her job right and makes us feel at home while my friends and I have our meals. We usually tip her more than we do at other restaurants because of her exceptional service.
We would definitely come to visit again soon!

Interesting take on hotpot. Laojiumen Hotpot Chicago is all you can eat for $28.95 a person, not including sauces, soup or service and gratuity. BYOB helps, but things get pricey really quick. Choose a soup base, ask for mild as the "hot" gets ridiculously spicy quick. Vegan options with plenty of vegetables... Meats were plentiful and really made the broth stand out. This is a four star as they were out of many "fresh" ingredients mainly all mushrooms, ribs and higher cuts of beef at our dinner rsvp at 6:30pm. Laojiumen is definitely a place for all you can eat goodness but at $80 with tax before gratuity, it's not an affordable option for a light dinner for two.
