Great find!! Happy to support a Latin owned small business with great products! Staff was very nice!
Venezuelan grocery where they have a little bit of everything and good prices as well, great customer attention you can even order online, contact them by phone or by instagram and they will help you.
I was looking for a present since my friend is from southamerica and usually craves her food. I am so glad I found them close to my home and they are incredible sweet people. I am craving now some of their cheeses too, really good!!!
This review is for Non-Venezuelans
If you are reading reviews about this place, means you are curious. There are yummy treats that will make you a hero with your kids. You won't go wrong with Ovomaltina, passion fruit lollipops or pirucream. I promise.✋
Fresh cheeses and Nata (Venezuelan cream) you should try with your Arepas. Frozen times are delicious too.
Make a gift box with Venezuelan products for an adventurous friend.
The lady at the counter (co-owner) is very nice and fun and she will guide you and answer all your questions. I have tried new things thanks to her and I'm glad I did.
Another thing I love about her, is how she promotes Venezuelan businesses. Follow them on IG if you want to know what's new at her store or discover good and authentic places to eat. If the stories are gone. Just ask her. She is a living Pinterest board of Venezuelan places. We have discovered great food thanks to her posts.
So happy I have now a corner in Chicago where I can find so many comfort food and snacks from my childhood. My favorita is the Nata and Suero wich i combined with an arepa or cachapas what they also have there and the Queso de Mano wich is something I use to eat a lot for breakfast on a Sunday with my mom. If you want to try some nice snacks they are all there. Can’t leave without talking about the costumer service, Vanesa has been the most kind, fun and caring person thank you so much for opening this space and bringing me this moments back to share some of my childhood favorites with my kids.
