I’ve never had such amazing food. My taste buds were very pleased. The internal design of the building was phenomenal. This place that served chicken and waffles deserves a 15/10 …. This was my first time visiting Time Out. I will be forever amazed.
I loved this place. It has a fun atmosphere, playing music and has the feel of a sports bar. There are about a dozen restaurant stations (like a food court) offering different cuisine, including an ice cream station and a coffee and pastry station. There is also a free water station, which is nice. I had a salad of chicken, bacon, and greens, which was delicious, plus a cupcake for dessert, also tasty. I bought a fruit Tarte to take home to my husband; he really enjoyed it
My boyfriend and I have a mission to try out all of the Time Out Markets. This is the 3rd one we've been to. It seems smaller/like it has less stalls than other markets, but even so, we had two excellent meals! For a meal, expect to spend around $20, but it's a cool experience and makes for a fun date night. Everything you might need is under one roof, which is why we really like it. We got the chicken and waffles, and the butter chicken croquettes. Apologies for not remembering the name of the stalls. Both dishes looked and tasted amazing. I would def go back and try out some of the other restaurants. Hopefully next time I go, they fill up some of the empty spots with more unique local restaurants.
Was really excited to visit this place and I was NOT disappointed! Is it a glorified food court? Sure! Is it the best damn food court you've ever visited in your life? YEP!! So many food choices from all the best chefs / restaurants in Chicago. Had some dumplings and a beer for lunch and it really got our day kick started. I could see spending a lot of time here.
I hosted about 15 people for an event at Time Out Market this past weekend. It went off perfectly. The folks I dealt with there (Jana, Will, Jon and others) were awesome. They set us up outside on the roof deck with great views and a private space for just us. After getting us situated, they came back 30 min later to advise us there might be a storm coming through later (it was perfectly sunny at the time). In case it rained, they also proactively set us up with space inside. Good thing too, because a storm did roll through and we wouldn't have had many options for our group.
The food options are great. The drinks were good with a bar right near where we were (please add some darker beers to the menu though). The prices were a bit high but it's a great venue in downtown Chicago so nothing unexpected.
Kudos to the team for making our mini college reunion an awesome time. The Market clearly emphasizes customer service because everyone we interacted with was great. Next time we're in Chicago, we will be back!
