Very nice and clean place to take your family with kids to have lunch or breakfast.
I should admit the oration of the sandwiches is really big. The halal meat is fresh and delicious, not seasoned too much as other places do.
The buns of the sandwich and all other bread products are hand-made right there. It gives the sense of eating healthy and fresh.
The price is also responsible, averaging $15 per person for food including drink.
Another good point is - it’s location. On the Higgins, very easy to park.
I recently tried the breakfast at Zey Zey Grill and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. The flavors were bold and the ingredients were high quality.
The staff was very kind and helpful. The soup was delicious and the fries are amazing. We had ordered a chicken doner sandwich and they accidentally gave us beef. When we mentioned it they were so polite about it and made us chicken ones right away and packed the beef ones for us to take home. The Turkish tea was delicious. The atmosphere is so relaxed and cozy. All the food is halal too which is also a plus.
This place opened a few weeks ago and we saw someone mention it on instagram. We decided to give it a try. İskender was one of the best I had in Chicago. Delicious Köfte dish as well. Lentil soup was exactly what you would get in a restaurant in Turkey. All the dishes were very true to how they are prepared in Turkey. Even the Pomegranate syrup was there to add to their salad. Rice was delicious. I believe it is made with butter as is the case in Turkey. The bread served with the food was very fresh. The owner was there serving the food. It is a family establishment run by Turks. They said their menu will expand to Pide, Lahmacun and other baked dishes. Clean and kid friendly environment. Prices were fair. Would definitely recommend as an authentic Turkish experience. We will be back.
