Gopchang Story Korean BBQ of Glenview 곱창이야기 시카고

I must say that the food was quite satisfying. The flavors were on point, and the gopchang had a delightful grilled taste. However, I thought the dish could use more vegetables to balance out the richness of the meat. It would have been great if they offered the option to purchase additional veggies. I read in some reviews that the fried rice was supposed to have seaweed, but I didn't see any in mine🥹. Despite this, it was still a tasty meal overall.

Everything was delicious and service was great. I never write reviews but I wanted to support a newly opened business in the area! Servers were all very helpful even during rush hours. Loved the gopchang set with small intestines, spicy brisket stew and macncheese corn. I heard they opened just a week ago so some items in the menu were not yet available when I went yesterday. Just be wary that it gets a bit crowded by the waiting area so once you get there, make sure to go up to the host stand as you have to manually write your name and phone number down in the waitlist to be seated. Can’t wait to come back and try other menu items!

One of my favorite spots from now on for sure! This place reminds me of the restaurant i used to go in Seoul, Korea. Tried one of set menus with addtional assorted gui. Can't wait to try all of their menus! Must go place in Glenview!

We were the first customers!! I couldn’t find any other restaurants that offered the same kind of food here, so I was so excited when one popped up! My family and I walked in, and we were greeted by such warm smiles of the owner and workers. The decor of the restaurant reminded me of kbbq restaurants in Korea, and we also had such great views of outside and the sunset since the restaurant is located on the second floor. I was most excited for the 육회 (yukhae — beef tartar) as it's one of my favorite foods, so we ordered one of their big combo options (I forgot which one sorry) that included 육회, gopchang, tteokbokki, etc. The food was amazing btw, and everything looked so aesthetic!! They have these high tech grills that look super chic, and idk how it works but it was super cool. There were some minor problems with the grill thingy, but it worked out in the end. The servers were all very hard working and friendly, so I had an awesome experience! I definitely want to come again with my friends and try some of the other things on their menu!!
