I recently dined at The Kangnam and had an exceptional experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. The menu offered a diverse selection of authentic Korean dishes that were not only beautifully presented but also bursting with flavors. I particularly enjoyed their signature bulgogi, which was tender and perfectly seasoned. The attention to detail and the quality of ingredients used truly set The Kangnam apart. If you're looking for a delightful culinary journey through Korean cuisine, I highly recommend giving The Kangnam a visit.
It was my first time eating Korean food. I absolutely enjoyed it. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is very friendly and attentive. I will be back again and will recommend it to my friends and family. Keep up the good work.
Popped in here on a whim with a coworker and we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Beef Brisket Cheese Tteok-bokki, Spicy Pork Belly with Tofu and Kimchi, Garlic butter fries, and steamed rice. Also, we received a complimentary bowl of soup (I think a fish-broth of some sort).
Everything was prepared well, looked fantastic, and tasted just as good. Tons of flavor and a nice spiciness. All went down nicely with a couple bottles of Terra beer.
Restaurant has a solid vibe and got a bit livelier after 630p on Friday. A big screen with kpop videos and music are playing, keeping the place upbeat.
Will be back!!!
Great spot for group dinners. We drove an hour from Chicago downtown to this place and it did not disappoint. We were in a group of 5 and ordered a table full of food with soju and averaged $37/person after tips. Love the beef tartar and cheese tonkatsu, but I’m most impressed by the free fish cake soup - the spiciness brought by the fresh onion and green chilly pepper was so on point for a snowy winter night.
This place is a new place that popped up a couple weeks ago. The owner and co owner are very hospitable and make you feel very welcome. The staff is great too!
The food here is definitely a highlight. There is a familiarity with the food items but this place puts a unique spin on each food item that makes it very special to this place.
I think I've found my regular spot in town. All the other spots around here feel the same but this place definitely feels different.
