Portofino's Woodfire Pizza & Pasta

The restaurant is newly updated and has a wonderful Italian smell the second you walk in the door. We ordered basically every appetizer a pizza and a pasta dish. Everything was delicious. We loved the pizza and I was definitely impressed with the pasta. This is a great spot for a great meal, plus Wednesday nights they have 1/2 priced bottles of wine. You know where to find me this summer.

Food was delicious but our server could use a bit more training in the whole serving process. For instance when checking on guests, don't ask a question starting with "do you want...." "would you like would be more fitting". He also didn't ask us if we had been there and because of that we were on our own to figure out the menu (some of our party have dietary restrictions). We ordered a couple appetizers but everything all came out together, crowding the table. My pasta was delicious and my parents both liked what they had but my mom had to send her pizza back to be cooked more because the crust wasn't done all the way. Atmosphere was a bit cold and could use some curtains or something to make it feel more comfortable. Not a terrible experience but could be better

Excellent woodfire pizza with fresh ingredients. The calamari fries appetizer is super delicious! The staff is so attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend.

Stopped at Portfolio Wood fire Pizza in Palatine for lunch yesterday with my wife. It was great! Server was was very attentive and pleasant, the whole staff seemed very happy and hard working. Had a chopped salad with chicken and a 12" pizza. Excellent food, great place will surely visit again.
