Old school steak house with incredible value! Not many places give you soup, salad and a side with your steak! Grab a martini and you will not be disappointed!

This is such a diamond in the rough. Been going there for 20 years! Great service, fabulous food. I'd take Golden Steer over any fancy Chicago Steakhouse

Great Old School Steak House.
The bar is small and the bartender was unbelievably attentive. I didn't catch her name but she ROCKS! Her drinks were delicious. The wait staff were great, the food wonderful. Nothing trendy about the place which makes it a must go to dine restaurant. Have fun, our group did!

This place has been here forever. The steak was amazing well prepared well cooked. The pork chops are huge well prepared well cooked. I would definitely recommend getting the twice baked baked potato. For the price that it is a lot of food. I would definitely recommend coming here we found a new steak place!

Jeanne and I took our friend Tim or for his birthday. He chose the steer. It was a good choice. Every meal comes with their famous onion soup and a house salad, so no need to order appetizers. The soup is covered with gooey cheese. My only complaints about the soup is I wish they would not put the head in so early. I prefer my bread to be put in at the last minute. Of course we all ordered steak and each one of us has our steak cooked just the way we liked it. The steaks are fairly priced, and the sizes are more than I can eat at one setting. The service was good. The place is rather small, but they do take reservations, though usually it's not required. Street parking is readily available.
