Great place for dinner.
I wish I knew how to do half of a star because the restaurant deserves a little more that 4. The service was fantastic, my drink was delicious and my food was great except my fish was fried a little too hard. However my empanadas we're to die for, the fries were great and the seasoning on my fish was perfect. The only real complaint I had was that it was a little too crispy. I also thought the menu was a little confusing but the waitress did a great job helping me. I hope this restaurant sticks around because it was really good.
Went to have dinner with my family and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The place doesn't just have a good look to it but the food was excellent. I recommend you try this place out. I will definitely be coming back.
Great food. My wife and I shared a fish and lime cured shrimp ceviche. I had a shrimp and octopus cocktail. My wife thought the horchata tastes too much like milk so she does hope that they work on their recipe- especially for the price ($5). I myself was just left wondering about how the seating works...we weren't sure if we had to be seated by a host or if we could pick our seats until we asked. Minor details we hope will be adjusted, but we are definitely going back.
After enjoying the Oak Park Concert Chorale at St.John Lutheran Church. Concert was excellent. My friends and I went to new restaurant on Madison St. Mi Tierra Nayarit. Mexican seafood. The food was excellent and so much. Started w/ guacamole. Light and fresh. I had the small Crabs Legs platter. More than enough to share w/ my husband. My friends each had a shrimp platter. Linda had the shrimp skewers. Came w/ rice, fries and fresh salad. Karen had fried shrimp platter. 10 huge butterflied shrimp. Again w/ rice and salad. Table next to us had this huge platter which 6 adults were sharing. Multiple types of fish and shellfish. Definitely a party tray. Service staff was very pleasant. Still awaiting their liquor license but had other drink options. They had a non alcoholic sangria which was very tasty. Will be returning again. Interesting menu. A great new option for dining in Forest Park. Huge portions. Decent prices.
