The tamales are great here. I'm a tamale aficionado. Have made my own, but I'm very impressed with Jaime's versions. He has an amazing spread of vegan tamales. Not on the menu is his Chicken Mole Poblano tamales. You have to ask if he has them in stock. Nothing like them!

I've shown my artwork twice at this establishment, which supports the arts. Last time I had 35 of my paintings up. Many sold. Jaime also has a poetry slam (on a semi regular basis), a comedy night and musicians often play there. I've played there with my trumpet in various combinations of accompaniment (I play jazz ---bebop).

I had the bean tamales (vegan) and they were pretty good. Comes with a good, mild, pepper sauce that adds a good sweet flavor to it.

Lots of options of tamales, sides and drinks.

Very nice staff who appreciates you coming in. Not a sit down place as food is ordered at a counter and done within minutes. Had some fun art on the wall for sale which adds a unique feel to the place.

Would go again for a quick lunch.

Great tamales. Only order those, but note that they heat them up in the microwave.
Today I ordered rice and they put some in a foam bowl and then placed the foam bowl in a microwave!!! Not only is that unsafe but my rice tasted like foam. I was so disappointed. They could do so much better than this. I’m debating if I still want to frequent this place. $9.98 for 2 tamales and foam rice is not worth it.
