More expensive than I think the food deserves, but the food was good. They also need a better way to explain portion size... The large pasta could have fed ten, even though they said it was for five.

Staff here are friendly. Food served is not designed for single portions. However if you have a big appetite then you love the portion sizes! The good thing about the portions is that they act as dinner for the next day!

Buca serves abundant and consistent Italian-American fare. If your idea of comfort food is large bowls of pasta with meat sauce or meatballs, served family-style, then Buca is the place for you. The kitschy and eclectic dining rooms lend a feeling of relaxing in an Italian village among friends and family.
In contrast and very much unlike the food, the service can be "very" inconsistent and during my visit today, my waiter was unfriendly, unpleasant and was almost successful in ruining my entire dining experience but I decided to completely ignore his poor attitude and customer service.....this time.
However, in other news :), the menu does offer both Northern and Southern Italian fare and has indulgent offerings such as pizza, pasta, salad, dessert, wine, etc.
Buca is a great dining spot for couples, families and groups but is equally wonderful for celebrating holidays, special occasions, team building meetings, and/or highlighting milestones. There is always a reason to celebrate at Buca.
