“We went to Rise and Shine for the first time tonight 07/29/2020, They have only been open a week and a half at this point. First impression was the place looked great, very nice layout, nice tables and booths and flooring. I was a little surprised that there was still construction dust on the window ledges and the back of booths. We were greeted as we walked in, everybody was friendly. It was clear that our waitress was new to this job. She was friendly but did not know the menu. She could not tell us what sides came with the meals or if they had some items. She was prompt with our drinks and salads and soup. The salad was simple just lettuce one slice of cucumber and one slice of tomato and some cheese, the ranch dressing was very good. The soups were very good, however no bread basket which I expect with soup and salad and full meals. As we waited for our meal to be served the waitress came to the table several times. It took a long time for our food to be brought out to us. we waited about 50 minutes after placing the order. We ordered 3 of their specials. It was not busy, only 3 tables and us, they had 3 waitresses working, it was only 4pm on a Wednesday. My wife ordered the open faced turkey which came out cold, I had the fried cod, which was hot and good. A little over cooked and the waitress failed to bring out the potato, in fact she didn't know it came with veggie and potato, however my son ordered the boiled cod and she brought out his veggie and potato. He said his food was hot and very good. I think what had happened is they made my wife's meal first and had it sitting until the fish meals were done, causing it to get cold. We did not complain to the waitress because as i said it was clear it was her first waitress job and the restaurant had only been open a little over a week. So we were understanding of the situation. The prices were what we expected for this type of restaurant. This is a good location, good parking and parking lot. Over all for just opening I would give it 3 1/2 stars. We will be going back. I want to try their breakfast and fish fry. I hope they read this and continue to improve the service. I enjoy these type of places over the big chain places. I wish them good luck.”

“Always great, so many menu items that are excellent. Italian Beefs are a must, their burgers and hot dogs are good, excellent salads (my favorite is the chopped salad) and desserts (Eclair cake, chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake). Don't let the lines scare you, they are extremely efficient.”

“Hardee's restaurants have come and gone in the Chicago market a few times during my lifetime. Though I have had mixed feelings about Hardee's over the years; my recent visit here was excellent. Firstly; the restaurant was very clean and the crewmember who waited on us was very pleasant. We both ordered the Big Hot Ham and Cheese combo because we had a coupon. Seldom do I rave about a sandwich; but wow, this one was excellent. It was an experience that did not disappoint; loaded with ham and topped with (processed?) Swiss cheese. The cheese was melted so the flavor blended nicely with the ham. The French fries were French fries; I don't particularly care for French fries but they came with the meal. Being diabetic, I would be curious if I could have substituted for something else; but did not inquire. Overall, this place is a very nice alternative to the other fast food restaurants in the area.”

“They are usually pleasant I have only came into contact with 1 terrible cashier. My daughter was trying to make conversation with her and she totally ignored her. I told her she was being rude and after that she acknowledged her. But that’s my only complaint. If they mess something up they are pretty good about fixing it”

“My prime rib very good. Sweet potato I question if it was soaked in sugar? Still Very good. Rice another person at our table had was funky. Green beans were awful. Tasted rancid. Waiter was great. Place was too loud. Couldn't hear across the table well. That being said my prime rib..blooming onion were great...I'd go back for those. Honey butter and rolls..”

“They have dark hot chocolate y'all! Dark hot chocolate!!! I love dark chocolate. And the fact that they have hot chocolate and dark chocolate is mind-blowing. It's so good. I would recommend this place that everybody because of that alone. Plus their baked goods are really good too. It's a nice little Nook and I enjoyed very much.”
