This was suggested to us by the folks from the Hampton inn in minooka. This is a nice family-owned local restaurant then they have a bar just on the other side. I ordered a steak an unfortunate looks like they mixed up our orders between a few of us because mine was near rare and I had ordered medium well. The steak I had was very fatty and had a so-so flavor. The pineapple cheesecake was actually very good and they had servings of ice cream which wasn't bad as well. Overall good experience at the restaurant and I go back again.

Cookies has a very old fashioned supper club vibe. The thing to order there is the fried chicken (cooked to order and delicious). Double baked potatoes good too. They can make a good cocktail and all is reasonably priced.

Rest of menu pretty average. Was told the poor boy sandwich and ribs were great as well. I did not care for either. Ribs are grey with a coating of sauce on top. Poor boy was just poor quality meat.

All in all, don't pass this up. Solid dinner spot in the area for the best fried chicken!!

Recommend by a local hotel. Service was very good, fresh dinner salad. The main course was fried fish, shrimp and frog legs. The side of green beans were steamed way too long. The frog legs were cooked properly and full of great flavor. Shrimp we're really big and a nice taste. More breading than I care for but that could be me. The fish was cooked nicely but it did have a fishie taste as if it was not fresh. Id give this place a second chance but would not order the same dish.
