“Been here several times. Food is really good, ordered pretzel which is probably one of the best I've had. Had a burger which was also very good. Ordered wheat beer which was also very very good. Now the mediocre part of it, the service. Waitress was just O.K. slow to wait on table, very slow to ask for additional drink orders she seemed to not really be into her job. A lot of standing around by other workers, my beer glass sat empty for a good 10 minutes. Other waitresses walked by without even asking if we needed refills. Worse part is the two older ladies who seemed to maybe be part of the management team seemed to not care about providing great service. A gentleman who I believed to be the owner was more concerned about sitting at table drinking instead of providing great quality service to patrons or paying attention to his establishment. It is obvious that they take the patrons for granted!”

“If you want to go where no body knows your name this is the place for you. This bar is dark and looks as though it has not been updated since it has been built. The seats are torn and the floors are sticky. There is usually at least one drunk that wants to talk your ear off and the bartenders are never friendly but always willing to bring you another drink. If you stay past 11 there is a good chance you will see some drunken dispute and lots of yelling. Some nights the juke box is so loud you can't hear your self think. The drink prices are fair but the portions can be small. If you are looking for a classic dive bar this is the place for you!”

“Amazing food! Our appetizer was a delightfully deconstructed salad. My shrimp was cooked to perfection. You must try the potato salad & cheesecake. All our dishes were perfect combinations of flavors. The staff was SUPER friendly & as nice as you can get. The vegetable side was a nice frozen mixture that was a bit overcooked & fell a bit short. I would have been more satisfied with a simple fresh veg cooked to tender crisp. Overall this place is worth second, third, & forth trips!”

“Wendy and I got married out at the SMGC. They went above and beyond to make our wedding special. They re-arranged seating THREE times due to cold weather. We had 120 guests and we were snug but fit. Our wedding went smoothly due to the weather and their help. The food was AMAZING...we had beef sliders, pork sliders, chips, pasta salad, fruit, au jus, etc....EVERYONE was happy with food. I brought out the chef to be recognized in my speech to our guests. Awesome job to Amber, chef, and staff!!! I would highly recommend having ur event there...we re-connected at our 25th HS reunion, i proposed there, had wedding there.... If wanna get ahold of us ur welcome to. Jim Van Acker”
