“Loved how friendly the staff was! They interacted with my daughter and everything. On top of that they food was amazing. Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy! I would say though, maybe call before going in the morning time because they are a very busy place. We weren't able to get a high chair for my daughter right away because they were so packed but the staff was extremely helpful and got us one right away when they could.”

I would give 5 stars but sometimes the pizza is a little over cooked(burnt) and I dislike eating burnt pizza. Obviously I don’t want to make a big deal about it and also I’m afraid to take it back and complain and have one of the cooks spit on it or anything of such thing lol. “I'd love to give this place a higher rating, but truthfully... My waiter/bartender may've been having a bad night. When I walked in I asked her about a slice of pizza and she told me it'd take 15 minutes. Okay, I needed to move my car from the 15 minute parking spot anyway. What started off as an optimistic stop at a place I'd never visited became a downhill slide into poor service. The receipt said - who cares - because if your service sucks this bad your name just really isn't worth mentioning. Don't know how long they've been around but if this is what they deliver I expect this place won't be around much longer. Might be time for a bar makeover. Seriously. For a place with this nice a curb appeal, service should be top knotch. That was not my experience. If the sign reads Papa Saverios - Elgin? PASS. Seriously.. The poor service will ruin your vibe. Go to Pequod's instead.”

The portions are usually too much for one sitting which is fine with me because they are still delicious the next day. He smokes his own meats too which make for an incredible BBQ pulled pork sandwich.Treat yourself, you will not be sorry. ***Add - on*** After many years of eating here all I can say it’s it still top notch. “Love the pizza! This place is small and always busy. I think they need to find a way to address when there are too many people. The pizza portal helps, but the line can be around the block and when it's cold it folds in on itself inside the store. “Katie, our server, was phenomenal. Answered all our questions about the food at Paul's restaurant. She was so pleasant & easy to talk to . Of course everything we had at Paul's was delicious and it hit the spot. It's always a pleasure to eat at Paul's, not only is the food good but the staff is so pleasant to deal with. I've never had a bad meal and the staff served coffee immediately as it was going down. You never felt like you were bothering anyone to help you at Paul's Restaurant. And I'll be eating there in the future.”
