“Great neighborhood pub. Staff is so welcoming and helpful. Prices are reasonable and the food is tasty for pub grub. On Friday or Saturday night after 4 pm, I can enjoy a nice salad and baked potato for under $7. My hubby likes the black bean burger and always finds something interesting to try from the craft beer menu. You can even bring your fur baby when the patio is open!”

“Really good small bar located in South Elgin. First time visitor with numerous different local beers on tap. I tried the Sunwarm (16 oz), Lords of Holocron (10 oz), and Oatmeal Stout (10 oz) beers. Grant Milliren was scheduled to play here on the Friday evening that we visited. Would definitely come back to this place again.”

“I absolutely love Laredo taco. They are not to pricey, especially for what you get. I am an over the road truck driver. I would always stop anywhere there was a Laredo taco. They are me go to when in Texas. They make and hand roll there tortillas on site. The food has always been great, and fresh. They have lots of FREE toppings. I always get onion, jalapeños, Pico DE gayo. They have a good selection of sauces. These sauces add a lot of flavor and a little kick of heat. I was able to sample a chorizo an egg taco. It was absolutely delicious just like it was when I was in Texas. I will go back and sample more of their tacos burritos and tortas. I was there on Friday the 13th, they where giving out free samples. I will add some pictures when they fully open. Edit: here are some pictures I took of there chicken and stake fajita tacos. I also got a picture of there egg and chorizo taco. (I did move some of the filling so you can see everything that's inside.)”

“Always great food--love the pizza sauce!! This is our go-to pizza place, and everyone we've shared the pizza with has been impressed. The service is good, although sometimes you don't feel like you're the priority--but the quality of the food more than makes up for the sometimes lacking service. The dining area is rather small, don't plan on taking a group with you as space is tight. If you're a couple or small family looking to grab a bite, by all means. Let this serve as notice that there are no fountain drinks, so you either buy your drinks by the can or 2 liter. Dine-in service is not the best, but keeping in mind it's supposed to be a take-out joint in a small storefront (and keep in mind that the waitstaff are running the phones & takeout), it could be much worse. That's what happens with a family business, you have to wear a lot of hats. The delivery service is great: Always have delivered on time and the food is hot. Overall, the food is fantastic and if you live nearby, I'd recommend take-out or get delivery.”

“We were finally able to try Honey Berry and it was amazing! Another great breakfast place to add to the South Elgin area. The inside is super spacious and the first thing I noticed when we walked in (not pictured) is the wall of books and amazing bright space that was previously always so dark. The service was EXCELLENT. We were helped right away and never felt like we were waiting for someone to help us throughout our dining experience. Our food was amazing. Perfectly seasoned and came out fast and hot. The portions are huge and very flavorful. Something as simple as biscuits and gravy was absolutely amazing. The hash browns were just right and the pancakes were spot on. Try our Honey Berry, you won’t be disappointed!”

“My wife saw a Facebook post about Cinnamon Pancake House opening up. We decided we should give it a try. Oh boy an I glad we did. They have a very large selection of menu items to choose from and they all looked amazing. My wife got the Biscuits and Gravy Skillet with an upgrade of Red Velvet pancakes. Our boys split the an order of the Oreo pancakes and I got the Chilaquiles. All of the food was excellent and the service was great. They are far well above the quality of the last several restaurants at this location. Their signage doesn't stand out so it's easy to miss. Please spread the word and keep this business running because it is definatley worth it.”

“Excellent, delicious food!! The menu is a mix of all my favorites (like pizza) and more unique, new-to-me flavors. I would highly recommend trying the pizza and pastas. The vodka sauce so far has been my favorite - a little kick to it and creamy. The restaurant has more modern black and white decor and is very clean. Highly recommend for casual dinner out or for families!”

“I love this place!!!! Great 80’s music with a laid back atmosphere. The manager, Paul went above and beyond... he was creating this amazing cinnamon shake, topped with whip cream, Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Garnished with a mini stack of pancakes and thick maple bacon & drizzled with maple syrup. My girl said that’s looks good and he gave it to us on the house. We ordered the bacon cheese burgers and the plant based burgers as well as the donut sized onion rings. They were all delicious. We even brought back the breakfast burger for my brother to try. I will definitely be back!”

“I was super excited that this place was opening so that I did not have to drive out to algonquin. Unfortunately my first visit was not a great one, the girl taking my order though she was very nice she also didn't listen very well. Toppings I wanted on my sandwich weren't there and the pickles I asked to be omitted were there and made my Philly sandwich taste like it had pickles on it. The green peppers though they were advertised as "sauteed" they were most basically raw and there was very large chunks of onion in random places throughout the sandwich same with the green peppers. I couldn't tell you about the mushrooms because they weren't on the sandwich like I had ordered and I really just felt like they slapped the sandwich together with really no regard for the finished product. The service was indeed quick though due in most part that the place was almost empty which is odd for it being dead in the middle of lunch on a weekday. This leads me to believe that mistakes are fairly common among the staff and they are not getting reported on google. I've seen several firehouse franchises come and go all over the northwest suburbs and have always been a fan, but this particular location is off to a bad start. I'm hoping to bring this 3 star rating up in the future because I will be going back.”
