Mario's Pizza

“Nice locally owned pizza shop. Food is all right. Pizza leaves a little bit to be desired with its thin crispy crust not much stands out with it. Everybody I know loves the nacho supreme just slathered cheesy goodness and covered in ranch dressing and spicy sausage. several arcade style games to keep the kids busy while you're waiting for your food.”

Joe's Station House Pizza

“This place is awesome! They have a wonderful pizza and an even better beef roll. We've had delivery brought to work several times and have called in ahead of time to have it ready for pick up. Either way you'll have hot food freshly cooked and ready to eat.”

Chump's & Bonz

Address: 729 W Madison St, Pontiac, IL 61764, USA

Restaurant

“They have great food at a reasonable price. Their kitchen opens for orders at 11:00 am and closes at 9:00 pm. They offer free local delivery TO BUSINESS ADDRESSES ONLY on food ordered from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm. This is a great feature if you want hot food delivered to you during your breaks at your job. One of my personal favorites is the "garbage" pizza. That would be called a supreme pizza everywhere else. I also enjoy whatever the daily special is too. This bar has a gaming area in one part of the building plus a REAL old-time shuffleboard table too. There are also a couple of pool tables for billiard fun. One part of the bar area has what they call a "horseshoe" that is as described, a horseshoe shaped part of the bar. It is fun in that you get to set at a semi-circle shaped bar and eat and drink with your friends and acquaintances. Everyone seems to be nice and friendly. It is one of my "go to" bars in Pontiac.”

The service was great, the place was decorated nicely, the menu was extensive, and the servers were friendly. As you can tell, I really liked the place. Too bad I was an hour from home. This was an awesome place to celebrate Cinco De Mayo. I will be back!”

David's Food and Spirits

Address: 624 W Howard St, Pontiac, IL 61764, USA

Restaurant

“I never post 5 stars but this place is definitely worthy. They hit on all areas. Owner David was behind the bar making drinks, talking to everyone and was super friendly. Addressed all his regulars by name too. Ordered the steak and wings pictured. Everything was delicious and very affordable. Service.... perfect... friendly, knew the menu and made informative suggestions. I would recommend this place to anyone who wanted a nice night out. I frequently stay in the area for work and this place is making me rethink the two I stay in. I would drive here from far just for the food and service. That speaks volumes. Check it out you won't be disappointed”

Edinger's Filling Station

Address: 423 W Madison St, Pontiac, IL 61764, USA

Restaurant

“I give it 4 stars for the atmosphere & 3 for the food. I love the 40s & 50s inspired decor in this restaurant; especially the huge front window that's made to look like a garage door. I expected to hear some nice 50s tunes over the speakers, but there were no speakers in the ceiling, thus no music. Their iced tea was very good. There didn't seem to be enough servers for the amount of business they had, & unfortunately I only got 1 refill for my drink. My sandwich & onion rings were good. I didn't care for the tasteless old junior-high-cafeteria style crinkle cut french fries. I thought I'd try something new so I ordered the fried macaroni. It wasn't breaded & all I could taste was cooking oil. So much for being adventurous. They were out of pie by the time I was ready for dessert. On the down side there is really very little parking here & every time someone opened the door a blast of frigid air shot into the dining room.”

Rentz's Tap & Dining

Address: 210 S Waupansie St, Odell, IL 60460, USA

Restaurant

“Being from out of town we asked a few people and were directed to try Rentz's. The food was cooked to order. We visited on a Wednesday night and chose the steak and twice baked potato I think the cost was around $20 it was very good. My personal opinion is this is a no frills good Hometown place with a lot of history there were families with kids everyone was cheerful and happy so I would call it kid and family-friendly at the time we visited. The place was split into two sections the bar area and a dining area for those who choose to be away from the bar it would be perfect for some families. There was no shortage of trophies and pictures to look at while our food was being prepared. There were gaming machines eager to take any money that you wish to deposit with hopes of winning your retirement. Thank you for reading my personal opinion I would return to this place if we were to pass through the area again I like to go to family-owned non corporate places whenever possible. And remember my personal opinion is worth as much as you paid for it.”
