McAlister's Deli

The food is good with large portions. Somehow a busy place especially around lunch you need more than ONE cashier. This has been the case every time we are here. Great place, good service. Very slow counter service. Gr eww at food.

Intial take:
Recently opened restaurant that didn't seem to have everything worked out yet. Every seat was full. Probably around 30% of the tables had food. Line went from the counter to the door. Lots of food on the counter where the servers pick up, but not getting taken to the tables. Took us 30 minutes to get our sandwiches after ordering, not counting the 10-15 minutes waiting in line.

The food:
I had a Reuben sandwich. It had a good portion of meat, but didn't have enough sauerkraut or Russian dressing. The rye bread was not grilled, like I prefer, so it was like a sponge in texture. The price was acceptable. My wife had a club sandwich that she felt was good, but not spectacular.

Overall:
I think that they can do a good job and be successful. Just need to get the kinks out and maybe offer some variants to grill the bread on a Reuben.

Super yummy food. Only one size for drinks. Slightly pricier than your usual fast food but the service was good which makes it worth it. I would for sure recommend them. A good place for lunch dates.

Impressive food, reasonable prices. If you go away hungry it's your own fault. The horseradish roast beef and cheddar is awesome as is the club sandwich. Baked potatoes are massive and cooked perfectly. Sweet tea is as good as they claim as well. I highly recommend giving them a try.

First time at McAlister's Deli and was wonderfully surprised!!! Great service from every employee we encountered and the food was delicious. Price was right for the amount we got and quality was excellent. And the sweet tea......yummy!!! I added black cherry to mine and my daughter added strawberry. Definitely looking forward to the next time we dine there.
