“December 16, 2023 - Tacos N Beer taqueria is a quaint little Mexican cuisine cafe on West Main in downtown Decatur. It has a specific, limited menu of freshly made food. We ate there last night. It will not be our last visit. Everything was made on the spot and delivered up hot and delicious. From the chips and guacamole to the street tacos and burritos, it was all a Five Star meal. “November 9, 2023 Visited Hotshots for the first time with my family. It opened in Decatur within the past two months. It was not the best of visits, but the restaurant has potential. One of my family members with me was my 18 month old grandson. Unfortunately, the restaurant had no high chairs or booster seats. We almost left, but stayed. The grandson had to sit on an adult’s lap and eat. Not the best start. The server was friendly and welcoming. She was slow to bring drinks and slower to refill them. In fact, the water drinkers had to wait for the server to take an empty glass to the back, refill it and return. Too many wasted steps went into this process. Bringing a pitcher to the table for refills would have been better. The food was so, so. The Nachos were good. The beef had a nice kick and it was garnished nicely. However, I had ordered chicken nachos. I did not complain or request a refund. The appetizer sampler platter had overcooked ravioli and mini tacos. The tater tots were good. The honey glaze on the boneless wings was flavorful, but the wings were tough. The staff was friendly. The manger gave us free fries for no apparent reason than to be nice. I appreciated the gesture, as did the grandson. This could become a nice sports bar. There are many mounted flat screens throughout the restaurant. They were on and showing a variety of games. The back room has pool tables and dart boards. It could give the other local sports bars a run for the money if service and food quality improve. I see potential in the Decatur Hotshots. I will return in 30 to 45 days to see if there is improvement.”

“I'm always impressed with the quality of the things that are at Kroger. The deli included, when we went they were the only ones that still had any of the meats, like pastrami that I wanted. But it's not just about the ingredients, it's about the staff. The staff at the counter we're incredibly helpful, and despite the fact that there was a line everyone in the deli was working as quickly as they could to get everyone what they needed. 10 out of 10 would shop again.”

“Dine in several weeks ago. Was blown away with the service and pizza. Was waiting to get another opportunity. I called in a carry out, and traveled 30 miles just for your pizza. Was seriously disappointed. Nothing like the 1st. Lacking the cheese compared to previous. Seemed extra sweet for some reason. Don't understand why it was that sweet, whether it's in the sauce, or added sugar. And it was slightly over cooked. I will write this off as an off night. Will try another dine in to determine if it is worthy to patronize regularly.”
