They're hard to describe but it is what they're famous for! I had a pulled pork sandwich that was out of this world! The bun was buttered and lightly grilled. So delicious!”

“We drove an hour from Springfield to Hettick. The country roads, full of wild flowers, trickling streams, good tunes, and a warm spring breeze, made that hour blur by. Jackson's is a small and homey bar that sits right on the main road that crosses the small 200 person town. You can tell instantly that the employees know most of their customers on a first name basis. We ordered half a rack of baby backs, a brisket sandwich, pepper jack mac, hash brown casserole, green beans, and potato salad. The brisket was moist and the fat well rendered. The ribs were full of great bark and smoke. The sides were good, but needed a bit more seasoning (the hash brown casserole was very good, but adding a dash of pepper and salt at the table took it to the next level). We look forward to the next trip.”

“We visited here on July 6. 2019 while camping in the area. We arrived about 6:30pm and place was not too busy (but was pretty busy by the time we left). Food was very good & service was very quick. Very reasonable prices, especially the beer prices. We both got the Saturday Night prime rib special and it was cooked as ordered and very tasty. Would definitely go back and would recommend this restuarant.”
