Rob Dob's

Everything here was great except it wasn't. And it could have been just my personal tastes, that they haven't been open for very long, that for some it's perfect. The restaurant looks fantastic, each area seems separate from others which creates a nice privacy. This was a trip to their bar, where it seemed to open to be cozy. Waiters weren't quite hitting their mark with getting the next beer to us, the bill to us, the card taken after I offered it. That's probably a time thing. While the hamburger was really good, I don't like paying that much for a burger. That's just me. If you're looking for a nice place, that has great food, this could be your place. It just wasn't totally mine on this occasion.

High quality food meets its price point. Very nice decor. Open areas have the typical noise levels, buy there are niches where noise is reduced. Make sure to call ahead for reservations if placement is important. Cuisine is traditional Midwestern, but items like roasted brussel sprouts or chowder show thought and skill, and taste delicious.

Wow! Outstanding! The place is top notch. As it grows it will only get better. The food was so tasty. I had the fillet with Brussel sprouts and asparagus. So tender. Mouthwatering. The cheesecake was to die for. Can’t wait to go back. Great job to the whole crew.

The food was exceptional. It's not easy finding great seafood in Central Illinois, but Rob Dob's was a real find. We had the halibut and it was amazing. The service was great and we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon.
