“I would prefer to give Catfish Charlies a 3.5 rating, but not an option in google reviews. Too start, nice looking place, located off the river, looks like it can be a hot spot. Started with catfish fingers app (why wouldn't you, given the name) and they were VERY GOOD. Next ordered the bayou platter; andouille sausage, jambalaya, rice/beans, blacken Chicken and choice of soup/salad (I picked the NE calm chowder). Calm Chowder was actually good, there were chunks of calms in the chowder, which was good. The meal was bland; I understand restaurants have to watch how they season meals due to people who like bland, tasteless food, but when you are selling a Cajun platter, it suppose to have season/spices! jambalaya had no meat in it, sausage was flat and chicken had a wet rub on it but the meat wasn't season before adding the rub. Rice and beans had green chilies in them, nice add-on, but that is all you tasted. The last issue I had/have is they charge a credit card fee, but there is no sign indicating that and server didn't tell me. I have a big issue with restaurants doing this, tell me when you are charging a service charge. This will keep me from coming back for a while”

“We had such a good experience with The Little Brown Box Delicatessen, that we had them again a week later to impress corporate visitors in town. The sandwiches are bigger than you are expecting and use ingredients that are fresher and hand cut. The sandwiches are fancy but feel homemade. It is the little attention to detail that takes this place over the top. The BLT has almost too much bacon (I never expected to say that) with a slightly sweet maple bacon spread! The Italian has a great selection of thin sliced meat, with an impressive pepper jelly! The Club is amazing as well! You really can't go wrong here. The service is polite and professional with all the courteous touches that are sorely missed in society these days. This is a must try.”

“Ok, not only does the food smell good, it tastes so scrumpdiddlyitious!! I love how soft their version of the carne asada was. Their chicken was super crispy and paired well with the platano. Also, the arroz con leche....💀left me wanting more. I got soo full and had to take the rest of my food home. Ooo, and their taquitos were nice and crunchy on the outside but had really tasty soft, chicken in the inside. Only suggestion I would make is to add a little bit more queso fresco on the dishes. Other than that, it was all very good. 👍🏽 Era buenisimo! 🥹🤤🤩 10/10 will go again * Also I LOVE how they decorated the inside. They brought the culture, the food, and the traditions.”

“The BEST and most AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant in the Quad Cities. I know because I have tried all of them. What makes this place so good is the fresh, tasty, and perfectly seasoned ingredients in a very clean environment. The meats are tender, cut & cooked on the spot daily! Tortillas made from scratch! The cherry on top is the amazing customer service. You also get great packaging for food to go. You can't find this level of quality food and such polite service on the same block. Wink, wink 😬. I hate to say it but it's the truth. Customer service and politeness will make or break a business. Aside from serving delicious food, this restaurant knows how to talk to their customers in such a welcoming manner. Las Salsas gained a new and loyal customer here. “The renovation looks great! Food was tasty, my husband said the cheesy mashed potatoes are the best potato dish hes ever had! Service was friendly and professional. Pretty pricey, but we expected that. They have a long parking lot, but have an employee in a golf cart that can take you to the entrance. Would recommend.”

“Really slow service on a dead Sunday brunch. Service was friendly but rarely checked on the table. Great ambiance. Food was decent but sightly over priced. Horrible coffee. I was overall really disappointed, but I will check out again for lunch or dinner to give it a second shot. I would recommend checking it out for a date night possibly- it's a new establishment and I'm sure they're figuring stuff out. Update 1/25/20: Visited again for a date night for a Saturday night dinner and drinks. Much different experience. Service was very quick compared to last time. We got the avacado fries, fondue sliders, French brisket sandwich, and smoke and salt cocktail. All very good. It was very busy and the food and service were what I was expecting the first time. It was nice that management did reach out to me to discuss my concerns. It seemed like they were interested in addressing my concerns.”
