It was a regular afternoon, and we had burgers, fries, and salads and everything was really good. “20 years ago, we lived in the quad cities while I was attending college and we discovered Uncle Pete's gyros. We came from the Detroit area and we were used to eating Greek food very regularly, but when we arrived in the quad cities we found that Greek food was hard to come by. Thank God we discovered Uncle Pete's wayback then and this great place turned into a regular place for us. I remember Pete sitting in one of the booths and the restaurant always greetings you when you walked in the door and watching to make sure that you were enjoying the food. He was a very, very nice man. Well, today we found ourselves in the quad cities while traveling Westward and we got the idea to see if Uncle Pete's was still around. I was so happy to not only see that it was still around, but that they had built a new location since the last time we ate there back in 2003 and that it was rocking out the same great food. We actually met Pete's son, who runs this great place and had a great conversation with this very nice man. The Apple doesn't fall far from the tree! The gyros where big, moist, and delicious and they still have those beautiful, great big french fries that they had years ago. We also ordered a Greek salad that was just equally delicious and freshly made. Thank you for the great meal. 5-Stars!!!”

My son was due to fly back to California today so we decided to have a nice meal..We figured that 3:30 would be a good time, After lunch rush and before supper. So we timed it so we could have a pleasant time..He had about a hour. We get there lots of empty tables and were informed that they were doing shift change and couldn't be seated for 15 minutes or so..Seriously???? We left ended up eating at the airport...My sister and I were there Thursday around the same time..no problem and ended up spending 30 or so a piece and left a 20 dollar tip..Guess someone lucked out today..”
