“What a cool place! We got to eat right on the Illinois river in a great atmosphere with awesome views. The burgers were superb and pretty huge; there are many choices that make for a fun and tasty twist on the traditional hamburger. The sides were good too and definitely not stingy. The waitress was very happy and during the hour or so dining experience she refilled my pop 3 times. And, to top it all off, the prices are very low! I highly recommend this place! Nice atmosphere for kids too”

“Unbelievable food!! We ordered 6 buffalo wings as an appetizer and they were seriously the best wings we have ever had....And we consider ourselves serious foodies! We ordered 6 more of the pineapple express (not officially on the menu yet) and they were even better which seemed impossible. Our burgers were huge and delicious!! The brick oven works magic!! The buns are locally sourced and you can definitely tell!! Fries were like fair fries...so so good! We would say RUN... don't walk to The Seared Heifer!! The staff was great... really friendly and helpful!! And the place was clean with great blues music...couldn't ask for more. :) New favorite place... hands down!!”

“I met a couple friends for lunch, and overall we enjoyed ourselves. They both had the lunch walleye fish sandwich and said it was good. I had the sea dawgs (chili cheese hot dogs) and they were good, but not great. A saucier chili would had made them better. Our waitress was wonderful, patient, friendly, and helpful. Cool place, good location next to the marina, although there are no views of the water (facing the wrong direction and not quite close enough).”

“I've been eating here for years and have never been disappointed!! The food is always fresh and delicious and the service is never less than wonderful. Last time I went with my dude before seen the the show Rent. The owner took time to visit with us about Broadway shows and I walked out of there laughing! And the food! Tortellini Carbonara is my go to dish, but everything is amazing. Whether to celebrate a special day, or just to eat with friends, Basta at East Port is just a great place to eat!”
