“Busy here this morning in East Peoria. Haven't been here in some time. Looks to have been nicely remodeled since we were here last. Nice bright and clean. My wife had a croissant and egg. They sure didn't skimp on the egg! I had a bacon egg and cheese. It can't hold a candle to McDonald's biscuit though. Hardee's used to have the very best biscuits. Not so after they were taken over by Carl's. Biscuits now are over baked, greasy and hard. Not good. I was impressed that we both got our coffee free of charge. Just get back to making biscuits like they should be for crying out loud.”

“Burnt ends were very good. Q Shoe was great! Loved the queso cheese and fresh cut fries, but I asked for burnt ends as my meat and was given pulled pork. Didn't complain because the pulled pork was very juicy and tender and bf ordered burnt ends so I just had some of his. Their brisket was pretty dry and my bf didn't like their mac and cheese. At first I thought it looked like mashed potatoes. Overall, service was good (except them getting my meat wrong) we'd come back for the burnt ends. Would like to try rib tips next time (they were sold out today.) Price is good for the portion. Parking kinda sucks.”

The place wasn't very busy when we arrived at 11:30 am, but by the time we left there wasn't an empty table. I had a lovely salad followed by the bread pudding. Really yummy! “A little touch of nostalgia (Almost though it was :Laverne & Shirley" at the counter... (these two gals are quite the fun pair. Seriously - like something on the old Route-66 fame. My adult son ordered two tenderloins, and a shake; I had iced tea. - It was a hot day, we had been riding my open air Jeep wrangler.. Place was cool, prompt service. Walls covered with photos and drawings of stars past; A memorabilia filled counter where you stand to order. Want a light hearted break in your day - this place offers that. The exterior could use new paint, and cleaning. Umbrellas for the tables would be a nice touch. (that's why we ate inside, though I would have loved to be able to sit outside). Despite the appearance, I am not sure if you can even go to a window and order from the outside. Prices were reasonable, service was good - Stop in and try it - I recommend this place.”
