Great food. Options to eat outdoors or indoors. Choice of meats on everything but tamales( which comes with pork) . I had a steak burrito, a chicken quesadilla and two tamales with jalapeno's on the side. Closes early but well worth eating here!!!!

The most and best authentic Mexican food in southern Illinois. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorites are the tacos (steak or pork) the steak torta and the tamales are to die for. Cash only. The salsa is a little spicy, so I use it sparingly. You can dine at the small indoor area, the outdoor picnic tables or get carryout. A hidden gem in my hometown.

This is fantastic Mexican food. It's been in Cobden for about 10 years; first as a little stand located in a Cooks portable shed, then in a pretty big restaurant and now in a medium sized building across the street. It's like the Goldilocks of Mexican restaurants - finally "just right". The food has always been great no matter the location.

Giving it four stars based on its reputation and the number of people in line while we were there. Unfortunately, no one in our group had cash on them and this restaurant accepts cash only, no credit/debit cards. Our fault, not theirs. Planning to go back with cash because several friends have told me it's one of the best - if not the best - authentic Mexican restaurants in Southern Illinois. I expect I will bump this up to five stars when I actually have a chance to eat there.
