Krave Restaurant - Bolingbrook

The best way to describe this restaurant is “more than you can eat”. The food portions are huge and hard to finish! Well worth your money! It’s full of flavor. I recommend and will be coming back. Staff are wonderful very attentive to your every need. Not once was my coffee cup or soft drink cup empty, not once did I have to call the server because she would check in to my every need. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

One of the newer breakfast and brunch places in Bolingbrook. Went there this morning and had a decent experience.

Plenty of parking and we were seated immediately. My initial impression when I walked in was of a diner. Ambient setting is ok but you are not wowed by it.

Food on the other hand is better. They have multiple options to pick from. I’m addition to the standard breakfast items they have some specialty items such as eggs with lamb chops. Food is tasty and portion size is good. As far as service is concerned, it’s ok. Once you are done eating you pay upfront. Prices are comparable to their competitors.

Over all I would recommend this place if you are looking for a casual breakfast experience and don’t feel like driving to one of the upscale breakfast places nearby.

Another local breakfast joint just popped up and I’m gonna break it down for you

The good: Portion size. You can get enough to eat now and save some for later. Quality of main ingredients. Can taste that most of it is fresh. Cleanliness. The tables and floors were spotless.

The subpar: the flavor. Nothing really stood out to me about it. The skillet I got didn’t have much of a kick to it, nor did the eggs feel like they had a fluffy texture.

The bad and the ugly: the prices. First of all, their prices are a little higher than every other normal breakfast place I’ve been to (not counting any fine dining or big company names)

Second, they have an additional 3-4% surcharge just for using an electronic form of payment.

Honestly, it’s hard for me to want to go back and give it a second or third chance. I know they had just had a soft launch when I went, so maybe things will change when they’re fully open and operational, but I’d say find another breakfast spot to fulfill your cravings.

My husband and I stopped in with our 5 kids for dinner the other night. Right when we walked in, we were greeted and kindly seated at our table. Our waiter was so kind and polite. The food was great! The kids definitely enjoyed this spot. It’s a great family friendly restaurant and very clean. Definitely a win win! Can’t wait to come back and try their breakfast menu!
