Carlito's Tacos

These tacos were amazing, and some of the best I've had in the Rockford area. The owner greets everybody with a smile and a wave when they walk in. The tacos themselves are delicious, you can get them authentic Mexican style(Recommended for obvious reasons) or American style. They were having system issues with their credit card machine after I had already ordered (on a busy Saturday night none the less), and while waiting to resolve the issues my order was done. Instead of asking me to pay in cash(which I stated I could have done but had said I preferred to use my card earlier when the issues first happened) the owner told me to have a good night and just to give them a like on Facebook(which I definitely did). I in turn shared the tacos with my roommates and now we're all hooked and planning our next order. An absolute must visit place for AMAZING authentic tacos, and they're open super late on the weekends.

We like to keep our money local. This was a pleasant surprise. The food was very good, and in large portion. The wife thought the price was a little steep comparing it to local sit down and be served establishments. I would eat here again.

Great little taco place! Food was good! Staff is friendly,prices are decent. Service was fast ! Good spot for lunch or dinner can sit inside or out. Will definitely be going back for more!

Excellent food and very considerate and generous staff. You can tell they really care about their customers. Late night hours are very convenient for those who want a hot meal post-2am (on the weekends). Homemade tasting deserts in a bakery section were great. Steak tacos there are a favorite off of their menu. They opened recently, so its nice to try some new food in the MP area. 5 Stars!

The food was great and the wait was average, the only problem I had were the workers phones ringing constantly. Other than that the food there was delicious and I would definitely recommend this place. The space is small but not packed and the salsa is authentic, hard to find a good Mexican place now a days that’s authentic but I think I found it!????
