“The price is fair. Each meal is prepared when ordered so, everything is always fresh and hot. The building use to be a bank so the drive through is easy to get through. It is an older building, and looks old. However, every time I have been inside, it is very clean, smells great (because the food is fresh cooked), and the employees are always very helpful and friendly. I'm sure it is a mom and pop ran restaurant. I'd like to see them open another location in the Southtown area or, along Tillman close to the new sports field they just put in. One word of warning (And it is not a bad thing.) They are closed on Sunday and Monday.”

“Old Crown is one of Fort Wayne's almost hidden gems! Seriously. I can't stop singing the praises of this place, starting with its quirky, creative one-off vibe. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and it's CLEAN. Did I mention they have a pinball arcade in the backroom? Yep. They roast their own coffees, and I've become a forever fan of their 9th° of Darkness blend. Hint: It's their standard Friday brew, if you want to check it out. The daily menu includes wraps, sandwiches and homemade soups, with occasional baked goods. Some of the ingredients are fresh from the garden out back. But on weekends (read: TH,F,S) the chef puts out some truly unique dishes, with special apps, desserts and craft cocktails. When is the last time you had Burnt Garlic Basil Chicken or Rosemary & Garlic Braised Lamb Shank? Speaking of cocktails, this place puts it's own spin on old standards and invents fresh offerings that use top quality ingredients like house-made ginger syrup and freshly squeezed lemon juice. My recommendations: Penicillin or the Wildest Redhead, but I'm partial to Scotch ... And, it has a robust menu of craft brews, and even wine on tap. Seriously, this is one of the best places I've visited - not just in Fort Wayne, but anywhere. I don't give many 5-star reviews, but Old Crown has earned it many times over.”

“This place is amazing! The atmosphere is always great. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars today is because of 1 of the 2 waitresses. You could tell that she didn't want to be waitressing (and she actually told me that they were "making her waitress" tonight and she's usually a 'shot girl'). “Is it good? Yes. Here is why. If you like food, they have something for you. My family includes a vegetarian and a couple kids and they even enjoy eating at Tucanos. The service has been great the last few times I've visited. The meats were delivered promptly and the food was all very fresh. I make myself a salad that should be a meal itself, but I'm not passing up any of the meat on a stick! Keep it coming! Our server last time (Justin) was absolutely awesome. He made us laugh multiple times, making our evening very enjoyable! As the terminator would say... I'll be back!”

“This is a good family friendly environment, with additional bar seating available. I have been here multiple times and each time was greeted and welcomed. The food is based off a meat selection with your server who then directs you to the "vegetable bar". From here you select the vegetables and bases you want in your food that is then grilled hibachi style. The bar is well maintained and offers an excellent selection. Overall this is a very good place to grab lunch or dinner!”

“My daughter and her boyfriend brought me for lunch this past week. I enjoyed the no-pressure self-seating process. The counter staff had great humor and attended to us quickly. As a first time visitor, I picked a familiar item from the menu. When our food arrived (very quickly!), I was impressed to see this gorgeous sandwich (it was HUGE!). My daughter ordered a salad, and it was so generous and large, it essentially arrived on a serving platter instead of a plate. LOL I will return. I look forward to bringing my husband for lunch. “If you are looking for roughly the same prices as Apple Bees but you want significantly more flavor this place is it. The pork is where it is at, the brisket is great but the pork is so far above. If you forgo appetizers, their appetizers are pricey, you will get rate of Apple Bees but I am telling you flavor is great. The other standout was the service, it was excellent. I have travelled and lived in different areas around the US and some other countries and our waitress Victoria M was hands down THE best server we have ever had anywhere. Go here, eat great food, have good drinks, and have perfect service... you won't regret it.”

“My wife and I visited around 2pm on a Sunday. They were fairly busy, no line in front of us when we ordered, but they did seem a little backed-up. “I don't usually order food via the web but gave Domino's a try since their website offers it. Entered my order and information. Gave me an alert when it was ready to be picked up. Alert was accurate. I showed up and food was hot and ready. I paid and left. No issues I got everything I ordered. Customer service was nice and quick. I will say though if you're going to order online make sure you read the instructions. I almost signed up for their email subscription which isn't something I want right now. So keep an eye out for that.”

When you see their commercials they invariably demonstrate a busy, yet efficient staff serving up delicious Taco Bell specialties in a spotlessly clean, inviting environment. Well, I'm here to tell you that this fantasy is played out for real, every day, at this location. I honestly have no idea how with the same general staff turnover that all fast food restaurants experience on a yearly basis, this location consistently hires outstanding staff and trains them to the same standard of excellence. “This is a great go-to place for hearty comfort food. The drinks are always good, but could be better. The service is sometimes slow, but the food is really tasty. Pizzas are square cut, which makes them perfect for sharing. My personal favorite is the grinder. Tuesdays are Italian specials. Get the garlic cheese bombs. For lighter choices, the dinner salads are fantastic.”
