Still have some kinks to work out with regards to service. Went on a Friday night, and place was busy (about what you’d expect for a Friday dinner).

Positives: Margaritas are house made. Nice ambiance. Free garage parking (not sure if that will be the case day of an event at the new Performing Arts Center). They take reservations.

Negatives: Margaritas were small and overpriced (~$15 for a whiskey glass size). Took over an hour to get food (not a good way to ensure repeat customers). Waitress seemed overwhelmed and not very attentive.
[Manager was making the rounds and very hands on, and did comp us a dessert due to wait.]. Food was mediocre (got the carnitas tacos, my go to) and they were definitely not Top 5 compared to other Mexican restaurants in Avon/Plainfield area.

Final Opinion: Good option for dinner and a show at the Performing Arts Center. Go to La Hacienda (in Avon) if you’re looking for better service, more food options, and better pricing.

Great new place. Food was authentic.
Margaritas not out of a machine.
    Large portions. Easily feed 2-3

The food was ok, the service didn’t get much better. It’s priced higher than others in the area but the ambiance reflects the pricing.
It’s decorated nicely and has a good feel to it.

Our experience wasn’t bad and it wasn’t great. As with any new restaurant, they have things to workout.
I would recommend to go there and try it out for your self then decide if you’d make it back there.

As with most new restaurants there are kinks to work through. The food is good. The service is fair. They opened with out having many items on the menu available (i.e. all draft beers and even ice tea was unavailable). I am sure service will improve once everyone becomes more familiar with food, the rest of the bar is setup etc. Items on the menu are pricey but we were happy with the quality and quantity of the food.

We visited on their second day of business and had an excellent experience. The food was delivered quickly and the servers were attentive. We ordered a kids taco, street tacos (chicken—no cilantro), thalupas lokas, and an app of Aztec queso fundido.

The kids taco (not pictured) was enough food for a small toddler, but not enough for an older kid with a big appetite, so keep that in mind when ordering for a kid. Our son had zero complaints on the taste and kept asking if we could come back.

The chicken tacos were the best street style chicken tacos I’ve had. They weren’t dry which is the case for most street style tacos at other establishments.

    The thalupas were fine.

The queso fundido was a great appetizer for the three of us.

Overall, we loved our visit. We will definitely be back. This is a great “upscale” Mexican restaurant that is a nice addition to Plainfield.
