“FANTASTIC FOOD! No descriptions of the food on the menu, but there are pictures to help you decide. I had the beef strip curry, which is an amazing cream-based curry. They have takeout, which is awesome. The food tastes home cooked, but because of that the food comes out a bit slowly. Sometimes the food doesn't look like the picture, but it always tastes great. Very kind and helpful staff. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but the food is so good it's hard to care. Truly a hidden gem.”

“Service was great. Food was good. Husband enjoyed the prime rib. Their knowledge of the ingredients of their food is lacking. Telling me to go to the app for non existent ingredient list. While they have an extensive standard allergy list. Some people have other allergies that don't fall into those categories. I've had other restaurants bring out the ingredient label or snap pictures to show me. tbhq is an ingredient in a lot of things and it is listed. And they couldn't tell me much. Other than go to the app for the nutritional information. Which is not a full ingredient list.”

“I was surprised by how goid the pizza was. I had seen and read many favorable reviews of their pizza. Being a pizza junkie myself and normally sticking with what I know (Papa John's, Luca's, and other local places tried and liked) I decided to go for a new place to try. Like the reviews I read the pizza was fantastic and surprisingly very quick and friendly service too. Was worth the visit, priced reasonably well and definitely worth the positive reviews they have received. Will definitely make more visits there in the future. ????”

“One of a kind restaurant in Greenwood that offers outside seating. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and bread sticks with cheese sauce. Pizza was cheesy, very saucy and had tons of taste. Service was friendly and fast to fill up drinks. Although, it wasn't too busy. There's a bar, but limited TVs. So if you're looking for a family friendly environment, with limited distractions and good pizza this is the place.”

“Situated in an old building in the downtown area of Greenwood with an interesting decor. Even my 18 year old daughter was given a small pail of crayons to color the paper tablecloth. The service was very friendly and very quick as it was 5:30pm on a Friday. The fried pork tenderloin was one of the best I have ever had and it was served with excellent mashed potatoes with a very tasty gravy. Probably not the healthiest but it was good. Wife and daughter got grilled catfish tacos and fried catfish tacos respective and the fried was probably a bit better.”

“I have been here twice. The Hibachi did is delicious and the quality of food is high. The atmosphere and seating is large, comfortable and open It seems to me that there could be a couple of improvements, that I only bring up to be complete, and give you a full picture ... When you come, time of day, and how busy they are might effect the speed of the dining experience and entertainment offered by the chef. If they need to move you through, it might be a faster and more "to the point" experience. When we came at the later part of an evening, it was a more relaxed and longer experience. ... But both times I noted that they are not equipped to refill drinks. Hot tea with free refills means that you get your hot tea, and then at the end when you get the bill, is your only other chance to ask for more drinks. So the second time we went, we asked about this and they brought out the hot tea in a thin plastic glass that would normally hold cola. So it was too hot to hold, and the tea tasted like plastic. So just a FYI here for you. But overall the price is good, food is good, people and atmosphere is good. Portion sizes are good, also. Enjoy!”

I was glad I came hungry..We were seated right away..As we walked to our table everyone looked happy and just enjoying the moment..We had Lasagna, Fettuccini, salads, bread, and The rib eye steaks..Oh my gosh!! If you like steak you will be forever returning..as the steaks were beyond outstanding!! I can tell you we enjoyed them..but you really need to have one..It should be on your bucket list!! “I had my future daughter-in-law's bridal shower at the Sassafras Tea Room. It was absolutely wonderful! They took care of everything. The room was cozy and not too big. “I was at a meeting here and the food was excellent. I started with an appetizer of brie with a raspberry compote which was amazing. For dessert I had the Caramel praline goat milk cheesecake which was a hit with our entire group. While I did not have the carrot cake, others said it was delicious and the slices were enough for 3 people. The dining area was very nice as well, not like most home / restaurants. Great place to go, I highly recommend it.”

However, it would've been awesome if they could have at least removed some of the empties at the same time!! Also listened to another waiter discussing a customers tab and card situation loud enough for everyone else to hear versus at the guests table talking directly to them. Ordered the Chicken Primavera and was given an Angel Hair pasta with artichoke hearts and white sauce. We let them know order wasn't correct only to have him argue it was. In my opinion, having an Italian restaurant with a name like "Johnny Carino's ", I guess I was expecting a whole different type of dining experience! Maybe, they were having an off day, who knows!”
