We would have given 5 out 5 however our chicken teriyaki was very heavy on the soy sauce almost inedible and I like my stuff salty.
The Halley Jo was good a far as salads go but the beer batter fries was absolutely fantastic.
Will be coming again purely for the French fries.
I had the original Philly cheesesteak. The sandwich was AWESOME hot and fresh. The fresh hand cut fries just made the whole experience that much better. Went back this past Friday for a second time and I had the original chicken Philly and the loaded tots which had bacon and cheese in them. The best way to explain the thoughts is like a mashed potato ball with bacon and cheese and fried. That's the best way I can explain it and they were fantastic same with the sandwich. The employees are very happy and very friendly The owner is an awesome guy talked to him for a few minutes he remembered us from the first time we came in.
A little piece of Philly comes to the Hub. Having only had a "true" Philly once in Philly at Jim's Steaks, which has since burned, this seems to be a fair comparison. Good stuff. The beer battered fries are good. For you Tott lovers, there are plenty of options.
Food was very average. The original Philly steak is what I got. The meat didn't tasted like it had any seasoning. The only flavor I really got was from sweet peppers. Didn't taste much from the cheese (wasn't even sure if any was on my sandwich to be honest). There was a point where I took a bite and the meat reminded me of hamburger helper. The fries were halfway decent however. For 15 bucks for a small sandwich, fry, and drink: I'd recommend going to another Philly Steak establishment that serves lemonade. Way more bang for buck and more flavorful. I was eager to try this place with colleagues but would not recommend it
After waiting a minute to be served at an empty store, I appeared to have been interrupting the cash registers personal phone call; who was on speaker phone and greeted me with "hold on shut up" prior to asking me for my order. I'm sure that was to the phone call. Just overall not a pleasant experience.
