“If I could rate this establishment four and a half I most certainly would, they earned it. Squeaky clean, very well lit, great location. Okay, this is a one stop review but I ordered a good variety. Vienna polish sausage, roast beef sandwich, gyro, fries, and mushrooms. The polish was terrific! Not over cooked, casing was just right, not tough. Gyro sandwich was LOADED! Could have made a second sandwich. Large and delicious, wrapped in paper and foil for carryout. The fries were/are excellent. Large serving, long cut, not soggy/greasey. Mushrooms were quite good, better portion. I'm a sixty-seven years old picky man. This place is worth my time to review, believe you'll not be disappointed. Bye bye.”

“VERY GOOD , only complaint is that it takes longer to get rid of than to eat it. I mean it took almost 2 days and i had to drive to Texas. Luckily the first time it hit was at the rest area on 72. Next time i just blew poop all over the carseat .”

“Found this little green in the rough through some good friends Ed, wife Renee, and Rodney. The blue Gill was awesome to perfection. I'm not much of a French fry guy BUT THOSE FRIES WERE DELICIOUS, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a hint of seafood... Amazing. Following week Sunday, I brought my wife and had the breakfast specials. Portions were above and beyond. My younger son who is only 17 cannot go in possibly because of the liquor setting but he ate our leftovers with such delight, that his eyes rolled to top of his head where he found a happy place in the comfort food. Wife definitely wants to try the Blue Gill this Saturday and other seafood. Looking forward to great, quality, comfort food. Smoking is allowed here, food is well worth it though. Doesn't bother me”

“We've ate here several times over the last week or so while in Gary on business at the university. Options around the school for sit-down restaurants are limited, so it's a bit of a drive from the work site to come and eat lunch, but it's worth it. The staff is attentive. The food is good, and you definitely get your money's worth here. A full menu offers many different options for a very good sized meal around the $6 to $8 range per person. This place is my go-to while in the Gary area.”
