“The food was delicious. It's not a very big place. Lots of 2 seater tables and some booths. Plenty of seats at the bar. The meats on the grill for 2 plate were delicious! Our whole table only got rice as a side and no beans. I'm assuming they were out of beans? I would come here for the food, but only if it was two of us. The place is too small to accommodate more than four people in a group. The music was extremely loud. So loud I could barely hear the person sitting across from me. The volume definitely needs to be adjusted. On the bill, they add 20% gratuity instead of the normal 18% for large groups. They do not split checks. It is very difficult to sort out your check if you come in a large group. I find this makes it more difficult on the servers, therefore taking up more of their time. Allowing the splitting of the checks would make it easier on everyone. Lastly, they charge a service fee for using credit cards. The majority of people use credit cards, so this should be built into menu pricing. Don't list a separate fee. Credit cards are a part of every day business. So to recap: come here for delicious food, but only if it's with one or two other people. Be prepared to get charged a service fee for a credit card.”

“Today I got the salmon salad with raspberry vinaigrette and a pineapple breeze smoothie. The salad was delicious with fresh ingredients and plenty of perfectly seasoned salmon. “The dark jerk chicken is what I got is comes with rice and beans which is really good. I also get to choose two sides and I got the macaroni and cheese which is ok and sweet potatoes which are delicious. For about 18 bucks. I ate in which was nice because the place is really clean and they play great music and sometimes they have karaoke. They also have a full bar which serves great drinks. Service was wonderful staff was attentive and on point. P.S. don't forget the bread it's really good it comes with your meal.”

I try egusi all over the place throughout Chicago. This one is top notch. The meats were tender and the flavor was on point, very well-seasoned. I enjoyed the pounded yams too. I like the last it wasn't spicy because my little like to eat with me, but if you're into spicy you might should mention before ordering or choose something else. No photos with this one tho, I tore it up fast. I will be going back!”

“Went for an early lunch on a Thursday. This place is beautiful. Every seating option has comfortable chairs - which I haven't experienced in any restaurants. Our server (Paige) was very helpful in making both drink & food selections. She was able to describe the different drinks, many of which had ingredients that were new to us. I enjoyed the very unique menu. Definitely check it out online. Our food was brought out quickly and was delicious. The salad was crisp & flavorful. The sandwich was extremely large - we split one. Never had a sandwich like this before. You will be using up all your calories for the day, but it was worth it. The French fries were also very good. I'd love to go at night and see what the vibe was like. All of the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!”

“The staff was very helpful and friendly, and I enjoyed my food, but the sandwich was definitely smaller than I was expecting for the price. Also, I got The Capo, and I felt like it was more of a normal sandwich than the grilled cheese it was advertised to be. When I think of a grilled cheese, I feel that the cheese should be the star of the show rather than the extra ingredients added. Again, I did enjoy what I ordered, but I feel like because this restaurant just opened there is room for improvement.”

“I got the high tide. Substituted corn for pineapple and Wasabi aoli instead of Sriracha. They were fast, very nice, and good size bowl if your hungry. It taste fantastic. They gave me a sample of the tuna when I asked how fresh it was and it was very fresh. I will get a tuna poke next time.”
