World of Beer

The food is great and you get good portions. Their menu recommends which of their wide variety of beers goes well with your order. It's hard to hear the person next to you over the music though.

Visited with a large group, who ordered several food items and beers. We each tried the other's food and made a smorgasbord of it. 99% of the food was amazing except what I ordered, the truffle burger. There was nothing truffle about it. Burger overdone (well instead of medium), half the toppings were missing. But the pretzel, wings, tots, etc were delicious.

Came back and it has improved greatly. Service was much better, but draft beer selection is still lacking for a place with its namesake.

Food was pretty good, though the hummus appetizer was pretty small. For being called World of Beer, I was pretty disappointed by the draft selection (and from that small list they were out of 4 of them). Probably a 4-5 star place for pub food, but the service was slow: on a Sunday night it took us 20 minutes to get water, and another 5 minutes to get the beers we ordered when we sat down. Only go if you are not in a hurry.

We enjoyed this place, but it feels like a chain. The staff doesn't seem to communicate effectively, which led to some awkwardness and a 5-10 minute delay in service. The beer was reasonably priced, and the food was pretty quick. I thought my chicken taco was better than the beef, though both were great. My boyfriend's burger was great. It got loud, and we left.
