“Good, wholesome food, which summed up the entire experience. As others have said, the brisket was excellent. Server was informed, friendly, attentive, and quick. We had a lovely time and all 7 in our party cleaned our plates. The only mild disappointment were the charred carrots recommended by our server - nothing was wrong with them, but they didn't quite live up to the hype. Would recommend the green beans or potatoes instead.”

“You will be delighted as soon as you walk in the door. We were quickly greeted and given the option of a seat at a private table or a communal table. The food was excellent with great service. Cozy atmosphere. Simply put, an upscale restaurant experience at a good price (non upscale price).”

“I've been twice so far. I've had the bison burger which has this great sauce that compliments the meat perfectly. The cornbread is amazing. The greens were a little sweet for my taste, but still good The second time I went, we ordered most of the starters as tapas and a salmon soup. Everything was great. The salmon soup was a creamy base with just the right amount of salt to bring out the salmon flavor without being fishy. The Korean BBQ was smokey without being overwhelming. The flat bread with pork and pickle was a real treat. I'm not usually a fan of dill pickle, but the pickles here I like. I will be back to try more of the menu. I will be bringing my vegetarian friend to get their thoughts on that part of the menu.”

“As someone who had not smoked hookah before, this experience was all new to me! I really enjoyed the way this place functioned-they gave us 3 hookahs for our group and only checked in every so often! It was a great balance of making sure everything was going well, but also giving us some privacy. There are lots of flavors (I really enjoyed the pink lemonade and sex on the beach, sweet and tasteful). The atmosphere is whatever you make it; the lights are low and chill or lively! Would recommend.”

“Very low cost for breakfast or lunch. A Christian place for workers to recieve rehab. So they can gain back self worth. I love the Cafe. I stay there for breakfast. Every morning when I first moved to Indy. Elease is a wonder host and prays for those in need. Don't cut yourself shop. Stop in for a bit but the fellowship will bring you back.”

“I had the Cheeseburger and Potato soup and the Steak Tacos lunch special. I still can't decide which one was the winner. Both were really good. The soup was creamy, meaty and with plenty potatoes. Lunch special price was good at $7.95; doesn't include the drink. A cup of soup was $4 and bottled root beer $3. Total tab with tax and tip = $20 (18% tip). So, in terms of price is not bad but definitely not a budget lunch. Server, Mara, was awesome. She was very nice. No photos unfortunately...from the lunch I mean...not the server. ;-)”

“I think this taco bell has improved in service and food quality in the past few years. Staff also seems to be better. A few things could be improved like the drink station and the drink variety. Also there was a large water leak on the floor next to the counter that no one was worried with cleaning up. Overall still an improvement.”

“This place fits the bill for a Jewish deli. I have been going to places in Chicago and NY all my life. Shapiro’s stacks up against the best. The pricing is definitely steep for IN as I think we had a $43 bill for two. However, I didn’t mind it. Personally, I would recommend the brisket on onion roll.”

“This is some of the most delectable food I've ever had. Tried this place for the first time this past weekend & will certainly become a repeat customer. Only thing better than the seasoning on the food is the service that accompanies it. Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars because every bite is like a little slice of heaven in your mouth.”

“Good Coney dogs at pretty reasonable prices. 12 bucks got us two Coney dogs and a half dozen pretty respectable chicken wings. The guy who runs the place is very friendly. Not a lot of seating (I think just a couple tables), so if you're going at a busy time you might have to get it to go.”

“Big Walt's is a great place to get a fish sandwich. They also have chicken, pizza, hamburgers and more. You should really stop in there one day and order something. You will be surprised about how good it tastes.”

“Another fabulous meal here the other night. They never fail. The service was outstanding with good attention to water glass filling and timing of the food. It was a very cold winter night, but sitting out on the enclosed heated patio was comfortable and nice to have all the outdoor lighting. They played soft jazz in the background, just enough to be there, but not so intrusive as so many restaurants these days do with their music loud. We were able to chat without shouting, even though the place was full. The food was great as always.”

“They have the absolute best sandwiches and charcuterie/cheese selection in town. Also a great wine and beer selection with a cool vibe. It is a great butcher shop too--a little overpriced, but high quality meats.”

“My new favorite Mexican restaurant close to home! I went on a very busy night and the service was still great! The wait wasn't too bad and the food was delicious. All of the drinks we order were well made and everything is reasonably priced. Great local place!”

“Small but character filled pub with games, trivia night, and excellent craft brews. Menu is notable for spicy chops, awesome grilled cheese, and soft pretzels (and just a handful of other options). Mostly tables, bar, and a couple chair / couch spots. Family friendly with juice boxes for kids and an under 21 area. Wheelchair and strollers would get through front door ok but be a tight fit elsewhere within. Several large TVs with games on. Music at conversational level and mixed for a 20-30 something crowd.”

“The food was great! Friendly staff and a fair price. I ordered a Whiting dinner with fries, fried okra and coleslaw. I made it a combo by adding fried jumbo shrimp. Delicious!”
