“Finding Golden House was like coming back home to a good meal. They offered a wide variety of Chinese staples as well as Burmese dishes. This was the only buffet I've ever seen that actually offered bok choy, or curry! My husband and I only had the chance to visit Golden House 3 times before we discovered they had closed down. I will miss their Burmese Pork Stew very much, and doubt I will find another Asian buffet with the same level of authenticity here in Indy soon.”

“Stopping by on a road trip made for am enjoyable night. I had a nice platter of salmon and fries and my wife had a steak and veggies. Initially her steak was served a bit overdone and tough, but our waiter, Grant, took care of that immediately. Aside from a short wait she soon had a new steak cooked as desired. While we would have preferred the streak be correct the first time, it was Grant's helpfulness in getting her a quick replacement that made the difference.”

“My housemates invited me to go with them to Thursday Taco Night. This was my first time going to That Place and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The tacos were the hard shell type and came with meat, lettuce and cheese, all other toppings were 25 cents each. The tacos come with lots of meat and just the right amount of lettuce and cheese. The only thing I would change is adding a little salt to the meat as it was cooking. I definitely go back, not just on Thursday.”

“One of our favorite restaurants on the south side, and an easy pick for dinner on a night off from work. At this point, we're on a first name basis with most of the staff, and they always treat us like friends more so than customers. The food is very well prepared and presented, and they have a wide selection of dinner and breakfast options. The interior is large and well-maintained, and there are several dining rooms and a cantina-style bar. The menu is somewhat Americanized, but it nonetheless has delicious Mexican food (and also from other Latin countries) that never fails to satisfy.”

“I love this place! I have yet try anything that I didn't think tasted fantastic. The owner is a really nice guy and every member of staff has been friendly and professional. Their chicken is on some other level. I hear people always say they love XYZ chicken chain and this is SO much better. It's made when you order it, so it's absolutely fresh. Their sides are awesome too; I personally love the fries the best. They keep changing their hours slightly to best optimize when they are open and when people come in to eat. Many people don't realize that the catering company next door is actually his main business. He opened the store because people were demanding it so often so please take that into consideration when you look at the hours and overall appearance of the store. They have maybe 10 seats total but that's because most people grab it and go or order ahead. Either way, this place is an absolute must try!”
