Fantastic margaritas. I recommend the taco salad or any of the house specialties. Sitting outside is an option, but fills up fast.

Talking about authentic Mexican food. Generous portions. Great priced. The owner is a older woman she cooks and serves the food. Very friendly atmosphere.

Very authentic Mexican food, which means, of course, not filled with grease, etc. Great drinks and a great environment, festive but good for conversation. Fantastic service!

El Rey Azteca is much better and the meat is has a much more interesting flavor. El Rey Azteca also attempts to go outside the TexMex standard by using different salsas, and prices are a little better.

The seating outside is nice on Kirkwood, and its a nice little spot to hang out and have a beer even.

Unfortunately, a real estate tycoon is putting these guys in an arm-bar and telling them they have to buy the building, or get out if they don't buy it. It's unfortunate because these folks worked hard building their brand at this location, and the real estate investor is giving them an ultimatum.
