Janko's Little Zagreb

One of the best steaks I've ever had. Meatballs are absolutely amazing, a must get. Nice atmosphere and just a great meal in Bloomington.

Janko's is a Bloomington institution. Hands down the best steakhouse in town. They do have vegetarian options, but that is definitely not the draw. They also only serve wine and beer - no mixed drinks. The wine selection is extensive and their beer selection good. I celebrate my birthday every year at Janko's, except when it falls on a Sunday.

Nice steak house under the ambiance of a more college vibe. Service was attentive and nice, checking in several times without feeling over bearing. Nice wine selection served at appropriate temps for red. Meatballs are good golf ball size and with a slightly spicy red sauce. Ribeye steak was large and cooked great with grill marks charred perfectly. Ordered it medium rare and although it was cooked more rare the pink center was still great. Lamb chops were cooked a perfect medium rare, juicy and seasoned. The potatoes are just basic but compliments to the entrees none the less. Enjoyed my experience

Have been there numerous times. We always get the steaks....high quality beef and cooked to perfection. Accompanied by a baked potato and salad. Of course, there are other offerings, but steak is their thing. Not a fancy atmosphere by any means, so don't expect that. And, yes...it's loud and hectic. You most definitely need reservations, particularly on weekends and college events. But....the food is outstanding and consistent, and the service is impeccable.

Tonight our family of 17 had a wonderful meal at Janko’s celebrating a family birthday. Our food was delicious and all of our steaks were cooked to perfection! Our service was outstanding! Still a great place to eat!!!! Can’t remember when or if I had a better steak!
